Job Summary:
The Placement Coordinator interviews candidates, manages employee databases, and coordinates patient care with providers. They handle payroll tasks, including tracking wages, calculating pay, and resolving payroll issues. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with knowledge of hiring strategies and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interviewing candidates on the shortlist and maintaining a database on employees for future vacancies
- Assign and adjust work assignments, monitors staff hours of work
- Coordinate care between patients and care providers to ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment
- Work with patients to schedule appointments/therapy, addressing concerns or answering questions about their service/care plan and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed correctly
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
- Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks
- Prepare payroll report
- Liason with Placement regarding unconverted not ready for payroll sessions
- Help resolve payroll related session issues
Education and Minimum Skill Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equity
- Ability to work and coordinate in a team
- Excellent analytical skills
