Job Summary:
As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our organization. You will oversee the accounts receivable process, ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintain accurate financial records. Your attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and effective communication will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Process payments received and allocate them to the appropriate customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and send monthly statements to customers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts receivable reports and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and collection issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform periodic account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounts receivable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce delinquent accounts.
Education and Minimum Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar finance-related role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
- Proficient in English, spoken and written.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
