Estimator

Job Summary:

The Estimator will play a key role in accurately assessing costs and materials, using BOQ and BOM to ensure smooth project execution. With strong technical skills in reading shop drawings and architectural plans, you’ll effectively communicate with both clients and vendors, ensuring everyone is on the same page. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for estimating, a solid background in cabinetry or construction, and a knack for building strong relationships. Attention to detail is essential, as you’ll be aligning all project stakeholders and ensuring flawless execution from start to finish!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating Expertise: Proficient in working with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure precise cost and material assessments.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate order specifics with clients, addressing concerns and clarifying requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of shop drawings and architectural plans to engage confidently with manufacturers and vendors.
  • Vendor Coordination: Serve as the point of contact for manufacturers, ensuring specifications are accurately interpreted and executed.
  • Gap Bridging: Go beyond the tasks currently handled by existing team members by combining technical insight with client-facing finesse.

What You’ll Bring

  • Licensed Engineer or Architect with a strong foundation in onsite construction and project supervision.
  • Proven experience in estimating, ideally within the cabinetry or construction-related industries.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural plans and shop drawings with precision.
  • Strong sales background with the ability to effectively communicate technical details and build client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for managing client expectations and addressing order specifics with clarity and professionalism.
  • Proficient in collaborating with manufacturers and vendors to ensure accurate execution of specifications.
  • Capable of aligning goals and expectations across internal teams and external partners.
  • Highly detail-oriented, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all project documentation and deliverables.
