Job Summary:
This is for the reliable, detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for keeping things organized. We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team in a long-term, full-time role where you’ll play a crucial part in keeping our financial records in top shape.
Key Responsibilities:
Expense Tracking & Categorization:
- Track and record expenses across various global locations, ensuring all transactions are properly categorized.
- Sort and input credit card expenses into accounting software, ensuring accuracy in data entry.
- Monitor ongoing expenses and provide reports to ensure the budget is being adhered to.
Data Entry:
- Input all financial transactions into accounting software, including expenses, payments, and income.
- Ensure accurate categorization and reconciliation of transactions within the accounting system.
Bank Reconciliations:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Resolve any discrepancies in bank records and ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
Month-End Close:
- Assist in closing the books at month-end, ensuring that all transactions are recorded and reconciled.
- Generate reports for management and assist in preparing financial summaries for review.
Expense Oversight:
- Monitor all expenses to ensure they stay within budget, and highlight any overspending.
- Communicate with team members and departments about budgets and expenditures, offering proactive solutions to prevent overspending.
Client Communication:
- Communicate with clients via email regarding their financial records, invoices, and other bookkeeping-related inquiries.
- Provide support and respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner.
Education and Skill Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role.
- Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred; training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including expense tracking, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with clients.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software.
