Job Summary:
Join our team as an Insurance & Intake Coordinator! Be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring seamless insurance verification and intake processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, providing financial quotes, benefit investigation
- Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
- Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
- Openly communicate and escalate to internal business teams (clinicians, infusion guides, etc)
Education and Minimum Skill Requirements:
- 2+ years of healthcare experience required
- Great time management and prioritization skills, ability to juggle multiple referrals at once
- Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Experience using insurance portals (Availity, Medicare, CoverMyMeds, Optum, etc)
- Experience doing benefit verification and submitting authorizations
- Detail oriented in documentation
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Medical terminology experience
- Ability to quickly grasp new apps and technology
